Raised in London, Ontario, this Wilfred Laurier University graduate is one of Canada’s most strongest hip-hop artist. Shad as been compared to artists such as Common, Kanye West and Talib Kweli for his lyrical style and has worked with Common, Classified, Slakah The Beatchild and many more. In 2007 Shad released his second album The Old Prince which earned him a Juno nomination for Best Rap Album in 2008 and more recognition in hip-hop. The album has been described as one the strongest Canadian hip-hop records ever and was one of the top 10 hip-hop albums in 2007.  Shad is currently on tour around Canada and working on his third album which will be dropping in May. Not only is he busy with his music career, Shad is also a part-time student at Simon Fraser University working towards his masters. The Old Prince is available in stores now and online.
