The Weeknd is really having the time of his life. He took the world by storm with his debut, House Of Balloons (which is in heavy rotation on my iPod), had his first live performance at Toronto’s Mod Club and opened for Drake’s 2nd annual OVO Fest. Now he comes through with his second mixtape, Thursday, and boy he doesn’t disappoint. This is everything we expected from The Weeknd. Smooth lyrics, sexy vibes and amazing production. I still can’t believe that The Weeknd is giving this shit out for free! His buddy Drake also appears on the track The Zone where he lays down a verse. This is jam packed with 9 beautiful tracks that will make you tingle. If you still can’t figure out why The Weeknd is on the rise, then download this right now!

My girl Kay comes with a hot ass record! Produced by Doctor Rosen Rosen, Kay releases a brand new single Hot. Honestly, all you need to do is put a hard bass line and Kay will smash the record! Hot is an understatement because Kay’s single ‘My Name Is Kay’ is on fire; making its way around the world on every radio station. This record proves why Kay will be taking over the airwaves. Make wave world, Kay is coming in HOT as hell!

Kids just wanna have fun. Watch The Throne.

My oh my, Weezy finally give his fans what they have been waiting for. A hard hitting single featuring a hook from Drizzy. The beat made by Toronto’s T-Minus also bangs like crazy! If this is what we can expect from Tha Carter IV then I can’t wait. It also seems that Lil Wayne and Drake will team up and release a collaborative album, I guess they trying to after The Throne…

One of my favourite tracks from Jesse Boykins’ new EP Way Of A Wayferer get the visual treament. I can’t wait to hear what Jesse’s next album will sound like.

Nova Scotia’s baddest girl, Kay adds her vocals to Diplo’s insane party banger, Pick Your Poison.

Two of the biggest names in hip-hop are ready to drop their collaborative album tomorrow. Watch The Throne August 8th. Also, Jigga and Kanye (aka The Throne) will be touring around North America. They have two shows in Toronto, November 23rd and 24th. The pre-sale did take place last week but the general sale is tomorrow at 10am. 2011 is looking like a great year in hip-hop.

Last night J. Cole made a guest appearance at Drizzy’s 2nd annual OVO Fest where the duo recited In The Morning. Not only that, Drake brought out Nas as a gift for J. Cole. It was such a good Sunday for J. Cole that he released Any Given Sunday #1. Here is what he had to say:

Every Sunday til the album drops I’ll be back with something. Maybe just 1 song, maybe a video, depending on how I’m feeling.
