My girl Sophia Bastian just keeps creating so many classic vintage cuts! Can’t wait to hear her debut album! Until then, Sophia releases her new acoustic record, ‘Trapped’ with Timothy Young on the guitar again. This particular record will be on her upcoming album.

Since the day Wiz Khalifa’s mixtape Taylor Allderdice came out, it has never left my iPhone and it’s on constant repeat! God, I really hope his new album O.N.I.F.C. is just as good. But as we wait for the album, Wiz drops his new video for the track, The Grinder. The track is so fucking chill and so is the video. Walkin and smokin around Hollywood. Ya know?!

It ain’t safe in the city, watch the throne. Better yet, have Jay-Z and Kanye West start a riot for you and it’s all good. But seriously, The Throne released their newest video for the single, ‘No Church In The Wild’ and it’s very cinematic. With so many revolutions, riots, protests, occupy locations going on around the world these past years, this video shows the people fighting for what they believe in. Though I think a violent protest or riot is not the answer at all.

As I desperately awaited new music from Calgary’s own Jenna Andrews, I finally get something! Even though Unhappy Ending has already been remixed by Solo, you can hear Jenna’s amazing soulful vocals on the record. She has such a unique voice; something that I haven’t heard in awhile. I first heard Jenna back in 2010 on her single, Tumblin Down’ and it’s great to hear that she is still making music. For a minute I was afraid that she left! This track should definitely be on you iPod, and you can have it for free by downloading it below! Hit Jenna up on Facebook and Twitter and let her know what you think about Unhappy Ending.

Directed by Andrew Stephenson, A Closer Look follows the amazing talented Canadian artist, Ayah. Most recently, Ayah worked with the legendary, DJ Jazzy Jeff, on their collaborative free project Back For More. In this video, we get a closer look into where Ayah is musically, her inspirations, and who she wants to work with in the future. Expect to hear and see a lot from Ayah!

Three white boys and 2 Chainz. Hahaha! Justin Bieber gets verses from 2 Chainz, Mac Miller, and Asher Roth for the official remix of his chart topper single, Boyfriend. Look out for Bieber’s album, Believe dropping on June 19. Believe will have features from Ludacris, Drake, Big Sean, and Nicki Minaj. With all that hip-hop, I am interested to hear how this will sound like.

Somebody pissed Pusha T off! All the way from Kanye’s movie premiere of Cruel Summer in Cannes, Pusha T unleashes the dangerous record, Exodus 23:1 with vocals from The-Dream. Taking shots at Lil Wayne, Drake, the whole Young Money team? Let’s see if Weezy or Drizzy shoots back. Though, G.O.O.D. Music is waaaaay more talented than YMCMB.

Fat (Skinny) Joe connect with a shit load of artists for his new track Pride N Joy. Produed by Bink, Kanye West, Miguel, Roscoe Dash, Busta Rhymes, Mos Def, DJ Khaled, and Jadakiss all make an appearance on the track, but only Kanye give a short verse. When I first saw the picture above, I was expecting an epic Kanye produced record with crazy verses and hooks. Pride N Joy is a great sing-a-long radio track though! HA!

If you kids are looking for someone to buy you liquor, don’t you dare ask Sophia Bastian! In these few studio sessions with Sophia Bastian we’ve heard R&B, soul, jazz, and now blues with the track Juvenile Blues. I’ve said it many times and I’ll keep saying it, Bastian is a legend in the making.

Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino drops a brand new track called We Ain’t Them and damn is it good. When I hear Childish Gambino I always forget that it is an actor rapping cause he is that good. We Ain’t Them has some raw lyrics from Gambino and I love how he makes it clear that he is no copycat rapper.
