This isn’t a love song, it’s that poetic justice. Kendrick Lamar grabs Drake and releases his latest video ‘Poetic Justice’ from his amazing album good kid, m.A.A.d city. I don’t really like the video, maybe cause I don’t understand… but I’ve always loved the record. I hope Drake gets Kendrick on his new upcoming album.

justin-timberlake-jay-z-legends-of-the-summer-tour-live

I did see this coming, as I hope most of you did as well. Two musical legends are going on tour together and their first stop is in Toronto! That’s right, after releasing his third solo album The 20/20 Experience, Justin Timberlake is going on a 12 city tour across North American and he is bringing along Jay-Z. This is huge! More music from The Weeknd is fine by me. I don’t even care if it’s just a featured verse from Abel, it will do just fine. It’s just one of those nights where Juicy J grabs Mr. XO on this dark track full with alcohol and drug contents. Last year The Weeknd was on Wiz Khalifa’s track ‘Remember You’ and it was fantastic. Though the only problem was that it didn’t feel like a Wiz track. It’s the same problem here, it sounds like The Weeknd’s track with featured rap verse from Juicy J. But whatever, this is some trippy music!

Sophia Bastian is getting ready to release her next EP, Juvenile Blues, and before she does we get to hear the new record ‘Dinner Blues’. Now, I had the opportunity of listening to Bastian’s ‘Dinner Blues’ last year and I loved it instantly! I’m really excited to hear how her next EP will sound like.

Also if you’re in New York City on February 26 or know anyone that lives there, VIBE Magazine will be presenting Bastian’s first BIG showcase! I’ve been saying it for two years now and it’s happening, Bastian is about to take over the music industry. She has a modern yet nostalgic voice that will give you goosebumps. This is a show that cannot be missed! I am really proud of Sophia and excited for her!

If you’re looking for Jenna Andrews’ love then you better more slow or else you’ll get an unhappy ending. Andrews releases her brand new video, “Unhappy Ending,” which is my favourite track off the Kiss and Run EP. The SOLO remix was done to this track back in 2012 and it’s never left my iPhone! Listen to down below and download it for free if you love it!

This is isn’t trouble season, it’s classy season! Justin Timberlake’s triumphant return to music continues with his new video, Suit & Tie, and King Hova also makes an appearance. Cause of these two, they had all the artists at the Grammys in their suits and bow-ties. I love how Timberlake is looking at his music notes on his iPad. Just goes to show you how long he’s been gone for! There are rumours going around that Justin Timberlake and JAY-Z will going on tour together this summer. I’m not even gonna think about the price, I’m buying tickets no matter what!

The 20/20 Experience comes out March 19, 2013 and you can pre-order your copy now.

Have you ever say in an interview and then you started thinking about your ex? Well, that happened to The Weeknd and it was amazing. It’s a new year and The Weeknd has decided to release his new video for his record “Twenty Eight.” I truly believe that Abel Tesfaye if one of the greatest singers out. Sometimes his voice sounds so close to Michael Jackson, it’s unreal. The video is what you would expect from The Weeknd. Raw, dark, sexual, and beautiful. Can’t wait until he announces the news on his debut studio album.

If you still haven’t gone out and bought Trilogy, shame on you.

Oh yeah, this is not a joke. For Rihanna’s beautiful record “Stay” which features Mikky Ekko, she strips down and expresses strong emotions in her new video. The first time I watched this video it felt like I could feel the sadness coming from Rihanna. Unapologetic is still my favourite Rihanna album.

j-cole-truly-yours

It’s beginning to be a busy month in college and as I write my assignments I need a smooth soundtrack to get my mind thinking. Luckily, J.Cole’s five track EP Truly Yours was released and got me into a zone. Cole is getting ready to release his second studio album and these five tracks didn’t make the cut on Born Sinner.

I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.
Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space) .

Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul.. – J. Cole

Had this on repeat when I was writing my 2000 assignment and it helped me out a lot! I highly suggest you download this free music.

Drake takes care of Toronto once again in his new video, Started From The Bottom. If you’re Canadian, then you laugh at the part when Drake and his friends are working as Shoppers Drug Mart employees! I love the shot of Toronto’s skyline but it’s OVO Ryan and OB OBrien who make the video hilarious. You know the only thing to do it party hard when you started from the bottom and taking over the world.

Drake also won a Grammy in Best Rap Album for his album Take Care.
