alicia-keys-kendrick lamar-pharrell

I could care less about Kendrick’s yelling verse in the beginning but Alicia Key’s voice with Pharrell and Hans Zimmer on the beat is just magical. I can’t wait for the movie either! I didn’t understand why they would reboot an already successful franchise like Spider-Man but when you watch the old ones compared to the new franchise, Andrew Garfield is doing a way better job.

Your hustler is back. 50 Cent returned this year with a few songs but it’s ‘Pilot’ that caught my attention. This is your classic Fif rhyming on top of that raw beat. It’s good but I want to hear 50 rap with 2014 hip-hop beats. I feel like in order for him to be relevant again he needs to work with Hit Boy, Mike Will, DJ Mustard, Boi 1da, and all the other billboard hit makers, while keeping that classic flow. Adapt like JAY Z or be left behind forever. We’ll hear how Animal Ambition turned on June 3rd.

Wait, Jay Elect is alive? HA! As many hip-hop fans wait and pray for his debut album to finally released, he gives us a new verse over Drake’s ‘We Made It’. Personally, I don’t see the big deal about Jay Elect just yet, so I was more excited and for JAY Z’s verse.

Like I’ve said before, the best music comes from the UK. Here is another artist, Elli Ingram, who has the ability to take over the charts in North America. Ingram’s sound, voice, and production which is handled by Felix Joseph, all fits perfectly. Check out her latest track from her upcoming The Doghouse EP below and download her amazing 2013 Sober EP.

When LA FLAME is in the building you know shit is gonna get crazy wild. During the G.O.O.D. Music showcase at SXSW, Big Sean and Travis Scott debuted a new song titled “1975”. Because Travi$ hasn’t released any new solo joints, his Owl Pharaoh album is still on constant repeat.

Since Pharrell’s album G I R L got released I’ve had it on repeat every morning going to work. It’s such a feel good album and brightens up any morning. My favourite song so far has to be ‘Brand New’ with Justin Timberlake. If you haven’t got your hands on a copy of the album you can win one!

Sony has teamed up with Foot Locker to giveaway a special collectors issue of Jordan Magazine and Pharrell’s new album G I R L. All you have to do is save the above photo, follow @FootLockerCanada on Instagram, then tag the photo with the hashtag #FootLockersOnly. It’s just that easy! But hurry because winners will be chosen on March 18th.

What happens when YG catches his girl cheating? Spend the night out partying with Drizzy! Probably my favourite song off of YG’s album, ‘Who Do You Love?’ is a club banger.

Here is the Pharrell I know and love!

jesse boykins iii 2014

It’s finally coming! Jesse Boykins III will be releasing his album Love Apparatus on April 22nd! If you’re looking for love this summer then this will be your soundtrack. Those summer nights with your beautiful girl will melt your heart with Jesse’s voice. Until then, enjoy this amazing single ‘Plain’.

Now how boss is this! The Boss covers the 17-year-old Lorde’s biggest smash hit. I think everyone in the world loves and knows the words to Royals. I was at McDonald’s one day and I heard a really old guy singing to Lorde. I hope Lorde comes to Toronto because I would love to see her live.
